Terra Soft’s Kai Staats — with his trademark long hair cut off — explains how they created Yellow Dog Linux for the Sony PlayStation3’s 9 cores and in only 4 days of optimization, they have MESA running 80 times faster than on Intel’s Woodcrest processor chip! He also mentions they are working hard to get GPU access to allow high-end games on Linux.
