Cellphone Giants Unveil Mobile Linux Foundation

Six of the world’s largest telecommunications companies have officially launched a non-profit foundation that aims to create a common Linux-based mobile phone software platform. The founders are Motorola, NEC, NTT DoCoMo, Panasonic Mobile Communications, Samsung Electronics, and Vodafone.
