Programming the PS3 using Linux

First article in a series on PS3 programming using Linux. This series shows how to take advantage of IBM’s new Cell BE Processor under Linux. This article gives instructions on how to install Yellow Dog Linux on the PS3 and the first steps to writing a program that utilizes the Cell BE Processor’s Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs).
