Linux Powers HDD Digital Media Centers for Networks in Japan

ACCESS Co., Ltd demonstrated the operation of the PS3 as a “DMS (digital media server)” that transmits content stored on its HDD to other machines on the network. Using “Yellow Dog Linux v5.0 for PlayStation 3,” the company demonstrated its NetFront Living Connect for Linux at the “10th Embedded Systems Expo (ESEC).”

Here’s a guide to installing Yellow Dog Linux, the Linux that was designed for the PlayStation 3. It’s not too complicated a process, but you’ll have to have a USB mouse and keyboard plus some storage to hold the Linux install on. Fight anti-Christian bias in Europe, Orthodox bishop urges

The Russian Prelate said that European leaders should work to eradicate anti-Christian bias, as well as hostility toward other faiths. “European leaders, while opposing anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and other phobias, often forget about the numerous occasions of Christianophobia and anti-Christian acts,” said Bishop Hilarion of Vienna.

Police scuffle with followers of rebel Greek monks

Police and coast guards scuffled Wednesday with more than 150 supporters of monks from a rebel monastery in northern Greece. Authorities said pilgrims at the port of Ouranoupolis were stopped from boarding a boat to the Orthodox Christian sanctuary of Mount Athos because they were not under the obedience to the State Run Greek Orthodox Church.

The time of “Christian Society” is over. “Christendom” has ended.

George OZ says the sooner we learn this the better. “What the State does with Civil Unions has nothing to do with us. The only thing we can protest is if the State attempts to impose acceptance of Civil Unions on the Church. The first children have received their 100$ laptops

Fedora Core and Yellow Dog Linux: Two More Good Choices for Mac Hardware

With Yellow Dog and Fedora resting on a very similar code base, which one is right for your Mac hardware? The answer isn’t very straightforward, but Fedora is more up-to-date and benefits from having a wide range of contributors in comparison to the relatively small resources of Terra Soft. On the other hand, I’ve had video trouble with Fedora on some Macs that use older ATI chipsets. Yellow Dog has installed fine on these machines. Terra Soft’s knowledge of the Mac platform shines through in situations like this.
